I may move this but...
This session has become more of a module critique, however we did just have an interesting discussion about work prospects before hand.
I don't know if I don't get it, but I saw first and second year as really just a taste of everything so that you could work out what you liked, what you were good at and what you enjoyed. In third year the modules have been much more open. Even the computing module has given more opportunities for working with users, presenting and generally working through a full project to prototyping stage. [You don't even have to do coding!] This is relevant in all fields of work as everyone must be capable of defending their ideas, whether you end up writing or selling, starting a business or teaching.
Sigh. With any degree the future is what you make it, as long as we know our skills and selling points, we can surely forge a space for ourselves in almost any field of work.
